Hello, hello and welcome. Take a seat, here have a coffee. If you need something stronger I believe I have something in the fridge which could warm the coldest of hearts. Make yourself at home, please, I insist. It's a Polish winter and the Lord knows you should never rush through introductions in such conditions. Better by far to sit, relax and let the ache leave your bones.
So here we are, you and I. Before an awkward silence makes its inevitable appearance, let me introduce myself. I'm a thirty-something father of two and husband of one. Reluctant owner of a crazy cat and long suffering fan of an infuriating football club. Emigre, ex-pat, immigrant and part of the Irish diaspora (delete as appropriate), I won't go as far as to say I am a gentleman (afterall, new-found friends should not lie start off with a lie) but rather an average joe who has somehow found himself living in Poland since 2012...discovering a new culture, way of life and a very similar sense of humour.
This site is primarily intended to promote my photography while also giving me a platform to discuss techniques (and my struggles with same). As and when the notion hits me, will also look to add articles to a blog covering my struggles with gear lust, the challenges of living, working and surviving in a foreign land. As you can imagine from the rather unprofessional introduction, photography is both an escape and a challenge rather than a career. There is a multitude of professional photographers out there, not least in Warsaw so if in need of a straight laced, driven, university trained photographer with a plethora of certificates this is probably not the place for you. This is for a more casual, less discerning individual interested in the human side of photography.
I will take photos of your cat though. Cat's rock. Even the crazy ones.
